Description
In Patagonia, we located the encounter of ways that have known to draw up the routes of an important history. Opening to footpaths in search of natural resources the man it has drawn up called Picadas. Picada 15 was opened long ago by untiring workers of refuel. The fervor of the sun that illuminates one of the austral ways but of the world describes in the heights a work to us of the nature attacked by the hand of the man in its search of new ways. Region: Patagonia - Neuquén Year of harvest: 2007 Aging: Storage in stainless steel tanks for 5 months with a minimum of 2 months in bottle prior to release. Bottle capacity: 750.00 ml. Alcoholic graduation: 14.30 % Suggested retail price: $ 12.00 Total acidity: 5.85 g/L Residual sugar: 2.96 g/L Harvest: Chardonnay (55%), Sauvignon Blanc (40%) and Pinot Noir (5%) from our estate vineyards. Limited production. Yield: 10.000 kg/ha. Vineyards: Patagonia Argentina (39º South Latitude - 900 fasl), Neuquén, San Patricio del Chañar, Route 7, Picada 15 (Parcels 4/7/40/41/42). Vineyards area: 162 ha. Year of Plantation: 2001. Drip irrigation is utilized as well as a vertical shoot position trellis system. Fermentation: Fermentation at 14º/16º C for 12 days with selected yeasts. Climate and soil: Annual Rainfall: 197 mm/year. Temperature range: 20°C. Intense winds. Desert terrain. Vinification process: Harvested by hand, grape cluster selection and destemming followed by maceration in a pneumatic press for 6 hours at 10º C, then racking at 10º C for 48 hours.
